Yep... Autumn gets me cooking - for sure. Made a huge batch of Spanish rice and chicken thighs with roasted carrots. Misunderstood ? Hmmm The other day I tried to explain to a blogger y vaginas were cute. And she wouldn't buy it. But let's face it - they're cuter than dicks. I'm hungry... gotta run. If after several attempts to clarify ... and by several, I mean many. I'm nothing if not persistent .... eventually, I just say "You don't get it" and walk away. Cool weather + not working = home made bread! I prefer baking to cooking but don't want all those sweets hanging around. I wonder if I can make cookies for the local fire station or the veterans home? Candy making season approaches. Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

Ooh bacon! Sorry, did you say something? Aye, colder here too. Just been out on the bicycle and got rained on. Thankfully a wee detour meant I got away from the rain and dried out, but back home it still feels cold so I've had to put the heating on - something I don't normally do until well into October.

Oh yea I feel that way some days to and it's the most frustrating thing ever and you just want to say DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME NOW!!! lol. Your food looks amazing my friend today we had pancakes and sausage and scrambled eggs. I want to make a pot of Loaded Potato Soup soon, and some beef stew but the weather isn't cool enough for them yet..I hope you have a peaceful Sunday my sweet friend..

Yeah, communication can be one of the more difficult aspects in life. Sorry you're on that end of it. Truly. Your steak, sweet potato and asparagus meal, is without a doubt, my favorite meal. I have it at least once a week. Sometimes twice. haha I'm making chicken stew with some dumplings, cause is so cold here today..Looks like it's not even gonna break 80. Hello Young Lady, it is still hot here , the weather man says maybe 10 deg cooler in a week, People just don't listen as they should,, then they hear what they want to, and sometimes you just can't get it through, just smile, say thanks and slowly walk away... Yes food cooking is different in cooler weather, boy you got some good looking fiddles there, I know they taste good, things that look like that have to be mouth watering.. Have a nice day.. And bacon tops anything...always better with bacon!! It's getting cooler here too so the slow cooker and soup maker have been dug out from their Summer storage and are in daily use now....I tend to eat one portion and freeze the rest for days when I don't have time to cook. I love soups and stews in the cooler weather. ~~Anais Nin~~

I speak only the english language or my version of it, but a lot of people don't get what I mean when speaking... Soups in the cooler months ,,chilly too! Hmmmm good dinner you are having, I like all those items ...had T bone steak tonight, baked potatoes soaked in butter wrapped in tin foil, green beans sprayed with olive oil also baked inside of tin foil...with seasoned Italian bread. I like bacon but not a fan of bacon...I am salt sensitive in the taste buds...I will taste only salt if there is much used at all...that is my problem with ham, bacon and salted foods.

I tend to have more soups and stew in the colder months of the year, and tend towards salads and bbq's over summer.

Sorry you are stuck in a communication dilemma. I really have no advice - other than to ask the person what they have understood you to say, and then rephrase the same message differently. And then, if they don't get it, they may never get it. Have you ever considered sharing your recipes on your blog? But then, that may cause even more drooling than your posts already do. friends give me fresh veggies they grow in their gardens. so I do a lot of grilled veggies. I discovered the joys of grilled veggies this summer. last night I had a meat and grilled veggie burrito. It was sooo good. I was surprised how good it was. I made it spicy.

Not understanding? If the point is important, something like instructions or directions, I'll back up and try from a different direction... a few times. Still no progress? I'll take a break and reconsider my efforts. I might try again later if I think that the effort is worth it. If the point is something fluffy, something like a political point or opinion, I might try a second time, maybe ask questions about the position/opinion of the audience to inform my efforts. Most likely I just sit back and listen, having put my position out in public. Either way, I usually don't push very hard at this point. I realize that I'm one person and it might just be that what I have to say is not that important. As for the cooking, as that temps get cooler the menu gets warmer. Different spices move to the front of the rack, smells fill the house, roasting and braising are favorites and the crock pot is my friend.

This is the end of winter, lots of hot soup, and spring begins, many different fruits choose it now, the temperature is pleasant, running through the parks in the middle of the trees.

Ha. In my job, talking to clients, all the time. (And really, I'm explaining some technical stuff, so it may just be a "foreign language", lol). I used to cook differently in the winter...lots more soups/chili/stew on the weekends when the kids would come over to watch football. Now, I just don't cook much.
